We hung out at the county fair today. The fair is always an interesting place. The fair is the place to see fat pigs (which was all Lucia wanted to see)
Family of frogs made from dough
Running chickens
I know that most animals at the fair are raised for food. I just don't want to be reminded of it in such an obvious way
Lego displays (Will is so going to be one of these guys in 20 years)
Exciting rides. Our kids have gotten to that point where they are bored after about 10 seconds on the kid rides, but too small for the big rides.
I think we will try the state fair this year and hope the excitement level is bumped up a bit.

Great shots, Kari! Especially the top one with the half of a passed out pig! And the dough frogs looked good. But they need some mustard!
I do love a fat pig!
Yeah I didn't actually want to see the cow I was ordering from our farmer. No faces!
The state fair does have some better rides, even for their age. And they have pig races - woot!
Great post, Kari.
BTW, the state fair is great. I try and make it every year. And you'll be amazed at the photos in the photography gallery they do. Holy cow---talk about making me feel inadequate!
But you'll dig it.
